What began as a local retail operation has developed into a fully integrated fuel distribution and transportation company serving Northeast Ohio and Northwest Pennsylvania.

A Locally Owned Fuel Company Since the 1970s

The foundation of CJR Petroleum was laid in the 1970s with family-run fuel and convenience store operations. In 1987, Bagh Inc. expanded those efforts by acquiring and improving gas stations across the region. Expansion began in 2001 through wholesale distribution, with the acquisition of CJR Petroleum, supporting both branded and unbranded sites, including our Sunoco partnership. The addition of CJR Transportation in 2010 created a full-service model that combined supply, delivery, and on-the-ground retail experience into one operation.

CJR’s foundation dates to 1987 with the formation of Bagh Inc., the retail arm of the business. During this time, we focused on acquiring, renovating, and operating gas stations and convenience stores throughout the region. These early retail operations established a practical understanding of fuel site management, customer expectations, and daily operational demands.

Wholesale distribution begins with the acquisition of CJR Petroleum

In 2001, we expanded into wholesale operations through the acquisition of CJR Petroleum. This step allowed us to support independent gas stations beyond our retail locations. Through a jobber partnership with Sunoco, we began offering branded fuel programs while supporting wholesale suppliers with unbranded sites. This balanced approach provided flexibility for station owners and reinforced CJR’s role as a reliable wholesale-fuel partner.

CJR Transportation added to support safe, reliable fuel delivery

In 2010, we added CJR Transportation. Establishing a company-owned fleet created a complete supply and delivery model, giving our team greater control over scheduling, communication, and service reliability. This expansion allowed us to deliver fuel safely and on time throughout the region.
